We have some fruit trees and we thought we had filbert trees. I would just watch them and think, "These just don't look like nuts." But I didn't know what they were. We had Dan and Nona over on Sunday and I asked Dan. He said, "I am not sure but maybe they are currants?" I googled currants and Yes! they are currants. So I was out this morning at 7:00 picking currants. There were probably 10 pounds. I made a currant pie and juiced the rest for jelly.
