"Spicy Punkin"

In a large family there is much posturing to get the beaters. Look who won! Pumpkin bars were our Family Home Evening treat. #5 thoroughly enjoyed the beater eventually ending up with batter out to her ears, in her hair, nose, eyebrows....you get the idea.

Aren't you proud of me?

A particular 3 year old in my house came up to me at the computer desk and handed me about 15 of my laptop keys.

"Hewa Mama. You put em back togeva."

I am proud to report she is still alive. I did not yell, scream, curse or cause psychological damage to the child. The keys are back on my laptop but I think I really need some chocolate.

And how did this get here?

Good question, eh?

Not sure I want to know.

Chat, chat, chat

That is my 3 year old daughter. From the moment she wakes until the moment she is actually snoring-chat, chat, chat. (Sometimes she even talks in her sleep. DH told me last week she tooted while sleeping and still said "excuse me.") The boys don't really talk really well until 4. Not so with this girl. Today I am holding l'il sister on my lap. #5 decides she has to join us cause, "fwee giwls need to sit togetha. See? one.two.fwee." She then proceeds to attempt to rub all the fuzz off her little sister's head, "She hab little haiwa mama. See?" She then steals her sister's binky and says, "This is my friend sister. She is my friend KiKi."

Yep-friend sister. I love it. I just hope it stays that way throughout the years.

An new sort of chemistry

The 7 year old (#3) just came in from the 43 degree weather. He and #4 were playing snowball--baseball with a fish club and snowballs as the ball. #4 was very excited. Spitting while talking excited and says, "Pee melts snow!!" Ah, yes, he is just potty trained so I figured he was "melting the snow" outside. But, no, no, no, #3 announces, "Yah, I had to go and it is just like chemistry. Pee is an acid for snow."

Just in case anyone was wondering, 'cause I haven't been blogging too much, things have not really quieted down around here very much.

These boys are never going to know what hit them

Their 3 year old sister is loading their nerf guns with peanuts.

Texas

The days are so different. Instead of mess and homeschool teaching I have a DH working from home and quiet until 2:54 when #6 (who is 10)...
